Twerking: dance banned in Vermont HS

“To dance is human, to twerk, divine” Unknown

If you tell us we can’t have it, we’ll want it all the more!

Miley Cyrus‘ twerking antics have done more than arouse middle aged men. They cost students in Bennington, Vermont their homecoming dance.

Mount Anthony Union High School Principal Sue Maguire has axed the festivities because she doesn’t like to see her young students copying Miley Cyrus’ suggestive moves.

Explaining her decision in a letter, Maguire writes, “Since Miley Cyrus ‘twerked’ at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, our students’ dancing behavior has crossed the line of what we can condone as appropriate behavior at a school.

I glimpsed part of a twerk when I innocently came across the award show on the way to my favorite re-runs of ‘Leave it to Beaver’

Since then, I’ve had nightmares of a giant ass moving rhythmically in an effort to entice me through the gates of hell. God never meant for that part of the human body to be utilized in that way.

The moral decline of America began when Elvis Presley ‘twitched’ his hips and now, I’m afraid, we’re at the ‘bottom.’

We’re also banning certain words from the student’s vocabulary like ‘Badonkadonk’ and ‘Booty’.

Anticipating a backlash from parents, Maguire adds, “If you haven’t seen twerking, I would encourage you to research this online. A safe place would be Wikipedia. There are no pictures.
